Join us in welcoming Plough and Anchor Genealogy blog to the GeneaBloggersTRIBE membership roll.
Jennifer Willis calls her site Plough and Anchor because in doing genealogy you plough through information and then try to anchor your conclusions with the evidence. Plus, it sounds like a pub or tavern, and some of our ancestors kept pubs, and most of them would have spent time in them. And also there are few things that might tie all of our ancestors together, coming from so many different places in Europe and North America, but the vast majority made their living as farmers or were gentleman farmers, with a significant minority making their living as fisherman, shipwrights, ship captains or sailors. Her blog is for sharing stories, problems, and strategies from 15 years of research.
