Yvonne Demoskoff has been blogginat at Yvonne’s Genealogy Blog since 2012. She was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario, but now lives in Hope, British Columbia. She is a member of Société généalogique canadienne-française, and Virtual Genealogical Association.
Yvonne started blogging because she “wrote a family newsletter that went out to a few relatives. After a couple of years, I realized I could reach many more relatives with a blog, so I started blogging.” Yvonne tells stories of her ancestors who lived in Quebec since the 1600s and before that in France. She also writes about her husband whose grandparents came to Canada as exiles from Russia in 1899.
Yvonne writes, “I love blogging, because researching and writing articles for my blog helps me be a better genealogist.”
She is interested in the following surnames: Belair, Janvry, Vanasse, Desgroseilliers, Beauvais, Demoskoff, Demosky, Tomelin, Cazakoff, and Poznekoff.
