Lisa Gorrell has been blogging at My Trails Into the Past since 2011. She is a California native and still lives there. She is a member of Board member of the Contra Costa County Historical Society, active member of the California Genealogical Society, Contra Costa County Genealogical Society, and Sacramento German Genealogical Society, member of APG, NGS, Southern California Genealogical Society, Virtual Genealogical Society, and many genealogy groups on Facebook.
Lisa started with her other blog, Mam-ma’s Southern Family, which focused on only her maternal grandmother’s family. She wanted to write about other family lines so she started My Trails Into the Past. She writes mostly about the research and stories of her ancestors. She also uses a few memes such as Saturday Night Genealogy Fun, 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks, and a weekly meme Genea-pourri about activities related to genealogy. Lisa writes, “I’m really enjoying revisiting research and stories this year with the 52 Ancestors theme.”
Some surnames of interest to Linda include: Hork, Gorrell, Loveless, Lancaster, Sievert, Gleeson, Sullivan, Davey, Johnston, Hutson, Jones, Polly, Tierney, Wollenweber, Voehringer, Rodgers, Hughes, Coor, Welch, and Neel.
