Molly Charboneau has been blogging at Molly’s Canopy since 2014. She is originally from upstate New York but now lives in New York City. She is a member of New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, National Genealogical Society and APG.
She started blogging during the Sesquicentennial of the U.S. Civil War to chronicle the story of her Union Army great-great grandfather, Arthur T. Bull. Molly says that the focus of her blog is eliciting the stories of ancestors from records, photos, artifacts and oral history and placing them in historical context. Molly writes, “I use a series format so ancestral stories unfold in a connected sequence.”
