Lois Abromitis Mackin, Ph.D. has been blogging at LoisMackin.com since 2011. She was born in California, grew up on the east coast, and lives in Minnesota. Lois is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, numerous state, local, and ethnic societies.
Lois writes “I have always been a writer. Beginning in 2009 I published research and teaching articles in the journals of the societies I belong to. Blogging is a way to put out short pieces—sometimes topical, related to what’s going on in the world of Genealogy or my personal world, and sometimes summarizing research—to a wider audience.”
The purpose of LoisMackin.com is to “provide a platform for what I feel is important to say about the genealogy community and my work.”
