Sandy McPherson has been blogging at The Frugal Genealogist since 2012. She is from Northwest Ohio. She is a member of Lucas County Chapter OGS, Waterville Historical Society, Clermont County Chapter OGS, Ohio Genealogical Society, U S Daughters of 1812, Century Families of Ohio, and First Families of Lucas County Ohio. The purpose of The Frugal Genealogist is to share how to make genealogy more affordable. She says she also writes about other genealogy topics from beginning genealogy to DNA.
When we asked Sandy why she started blogging she said, “It was my husband’s idea that we should travel and I would blog about where we went and what we did. I agreed as long as it had a genealogical purpose. We made one trip in May 2012. Two days afterwards my husband had a heart attack and died. Now I still post but I don’t travel as much.”
The surnames that Sandy is interested in are: Rochte, Nash, Perkins, Lewis, Crom, Kettle, Robinson, Weaver, and Rice.
Some recent posts include:
