Melanie Frick, MLS is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists originally from Iowa, though she currently lives in California. She has been blogging stories of her ancestors since 2013, mainly focusing on Danish immigrants who homesteaded in Dakota Territory, frontiersmen who made the trek from North Carolina to southern Illinois, Acadians exiled to New England during the French and Indian Wars, and German farmers who made it to Iowa.
