Sam Williams has been blogging at The Orthodox Genealogist since 2018. He is originally from Powhatan County, Virginia but he now lives in Norfolk Virginia. Sam is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, Virginia Genealogical Society, Virginia Beach Genealogical Society, Virtual Genealogical Association, and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.
Sam started a genealogy blog to write about his research and to share with his cousins what he had found. Also, to gain visibility for potential speaking engagements or client work. His blog is mostly about Virginia research, methodology, tips for research, and DNA.
