National S’Mores Day

Aug 10. Every Aug 10, a day to celebrate the gooey, messy, chocolaty campfire treat. Traditionally made with roasted marshmallows, a slab of chocolate and an enclosing sandwich of graham crackers. Girl Scout Loretta Scott Crew is credited with creating the sandwich: her recipe for Some Mores was published in Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts in 1927.
