What would later become the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir gave its first public performance at Salt Lake City, UT,for an outdoor meeting of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Widely known for its concert tours, recordings and weekly radio and television broadcasts from Temple Square, the choirs radio program Music and the Spoken Word is the longest continuously running radio program in network history, dating back to 1929.
