Blogiversary Spotlight: Like Herding Cats Genealogy
Here is a belated shout out celebrating the blogiversary of Jenny Hawran’s Like Herding Cats Genealogy.
Jenny is a long time genealogist, who grew up in and still lives in Windsor, Connecticut. She is currently the Vice President of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists and Secretary of The Descendants of the Founders of Ancient Windsor.
In addition to her volunteer activities, she also offers professional genealogy services.
She began blogging on 8 June 2015 because she wanted to share family stories with her three daughters. They liked hearing stories about family members they knew and an easy way to share and save them was on a blog.
Therefore, her primary blog focus is on story telling, but Jenny also shares information about her genealogy travels and research.
Three recent posts are:
April 26, 2015. . .my new birthday
Lastly, Jenny explains that “blogging has been a wonderful way for me to leave a record of who I am and where I come from. My daughters are all at an age where they are going to be starting their own families and they are feeling so connected to the family stories they read about. That is the goal of blogging for me!”
Jenny is active on social media and can be found on Twitter, as Jenny on Instagram and on Facebook and under Like Herding Cats on Instagram,. She is also the GeneaBloggers Organization’s Social Media Chair!
Please help celebrate Jenny’s 8 years of blogging by leaving a congratulatory comment!
