Please join us in welcoming the BIFHSGO Buzz blog to the GeneaBloggersTRIBE membership roll.
The BIFHSGO Buzz is a collaborative effort from members of Canada’s British Family History Society of Greater Ottawa (BIFHSGO). Launched in November 2017, this blog shares society and industry news in order to encourage and support genealogy research by people with an interest or ancestry in the British Isles (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, etc).
An interesting feature of the blog is a page that shares links to members’ blogs.
The eleven posts on the blog to date share stories of Canadian military casualties in World War I. They include:
- Day One – Infantryman “undoubtedly saved lives” at Passchendaele
- Day Two – War was a family affair
- Day Three – Measles, Mumps and the Military
