Genealogy bloggers wondering why Tracing the Tribe: The Jewish Genealogy Blog has been rather silent recently should know that author Schelly Talalay Dardashti has just relocated from Tel Aviv to the Land of Enchantment – New Mexico.
Anyone who has moved – particularly internationally – knows that this is not such a simple thing to accomplish. However, Schelly let me know that things are settling down once again and she will be up to speed soon in all her activities.
Additionally, she has been named the MyHeritage.com Genealogy Advisor (USA), in addition to authoring the MyHeritage Genealogy Blog.
In 2011, she will be speaking in the US and the UK. In February, Schelly will be speaking at the RootsTech conference (Salt Lake City, Utah) and at the Who Do You Think You Are LIVE family history fair (London UK). In May, she will again be in London, speaking at the Society of Genealogists’ Centenary Conference, followed by the National Genealogical Society Conference (Charleston, SC).
She is already getting involved in genealogy in New Mexico. We wecome Schelly back to the US.
