I also use Blogger - don't really remember why I picked it originally - but 'free' would have been a big attraction. I use Picasa so don't think much about the image part. One blog I write on is on WordPress; I find it's not as easy to use. (The service provider picked it and someone else looks after the broader technical end, so I have no complaints.) I really just want something useful and easy to write in (on?), so for now I will stick with Blogger. Till Thomas started nudging, I didn't even know about half the gadgets out there! but I do like to try new things. Thanks Thomas!

I use both. I am more inclined to use Blogspot.com. I think the basic reason that I use blogspot.com is the ability to set up posts for the future. That is, on one of my blogs, I set up messages to be posted at a certain time each day. I can prepare a number of postings, in advance and they will be posted at that time.

I think that the association with Google is another reason for my use of blogspot.com. The ability to include slide shows in a blog, or as a standard side bar entry has also been of help for me.

That is not to say that anything is wrong with Wordpress, as I haven't found anything negative about it. Just pointing out what I have found to be useful able blogger.

Thank you,

I personally love blogger. I love the ease of use, and honestly, I don't have the fancy skills to do major editing. I love how I can make blogger my own by use of gadgets and widgets.

I'm a Wordpressie. I love the look and feel and since we use Wordpress at work it is a seamless transition for me. I must also confess that I am uncomfortable with giving Google so much of my life. Domination of any medium by one company bothers me.

Blogger for me, even though I understand from a lot of people that it is not considered as 'professional' as WordPress. "the fact that it is a Google product and can work seemlessly with Google Reader, Google Docs and other Google applications" works for me! And I have Picasa, so I'm not worried about images.

I have five blogs using Blogger. Happy camper!

I'd be interested in more education in the realm of blogging, so keep me tuned in, eh? Thanks!

Hi, Ok... you stated 1gig for a blog in blogger! ;)
You can have more then one blog..through them.. is it 1gig for each blog or 1gig per account? I pay for 2 domains and ran out of space there at 600 and 900mb. Which is why I turned to blogs in part! Not to mention it is much quicker although more limited on what one can do.

I love help articles because I like the KISS method or 1-2-3 .. with screen shots? better yet!
Thanks for all your work!! Brenda
