Some of you may have noticed that in each Genealogy Blogging Beat we now feature national holidays and some of the more offbeat holidays. Here are some dates next week to look out for so you can plan your blog posts for next week:
- May 17: Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education Decision and National Bike to Work Day
- May 18: Armed Forces Day, International Museum Day, Mount St. Helens Eruption anniversary, and the Preakness Stakes.
- May 19: Bay to Breakers Race, Dark Day in New England anniversary, and Pentecost / Whitsunday.
- May 20: Homestead Act Anniversary and the Lindbergh Transatlantic Flight Anniversary.
- May 21: American Red Cross Founded and National Waitstaff Day.
- May 22: Johnny Carson’s Final Show Anniversary and National Maritime Day.
- May 23: Bonnie and Clyde Death Anniversary and New York Public Library Anniversary.
- May 24: First Night Game in Baseball Played,
Brooklyn Bridge Opening Anniversary, International Tiara Day and First Telegraph Line Opened.
