I was a home viewer, and I am so grateful that I had that opportunity. I can't wait for the individual videos. I will be pouring over them when they come out.

I had never seen you speak, Thomas. So it was a great treat to see your talk on Twitter. I waved, but you did not wave back:o( LOL

The most helpful information I got through the videos was from the Google guys. How to make my websites more easily spidered. I have my own personal site, and the Indiana Trails to the Past sites. I am always looking to learn about how to make them more visible. I also learned a great deal from the Cloud talks.

Of course, the most enjoyable one that I watched twice and will do so again, is the talk by Ron Tanner. I hope they know what they have in this man. I could not look away! He was pure gold. (mirth included) Besides, I love crazy people!

Being able to download the complete RootsTech Syllabi was a plus. Might not have been able to see the talk, but can get the gist by going through them.

All in all, WONDERFUL!

I was able to follow along at home. The streaming worked great for me and I can't believe how much I learned from those sessions! I would like to see more presentation streamed live for those of us not able to make it Rootstech! I have already started implementing some of the information I learned!

Nice input, Thomas! Love the beads, too :)

I didn't get to follow along at home, nor made my way out there, but have been reading write ups on it, and they all make me want to attend next year! With a baby on the way next month, I find it will be difficult to venture out there for a few years ;)

I'm 29 years old, and do find that the genealogy industry is trying to pull the under 50 crowd in. Especially seeing how positive RootsTech is, and how much it has expanded, I would say they are doing a pretty good job. I think with my generation growing up with the internet, email, now smart phones, tech is here to stay in this industry.

Now, if only we could get the local archive centers, genealogy/historical societies, etc to start embedding technology into their facilities, we would be another step further. I'm so glad I found my interest in genealogy at such a "young age", as it gives me a lot of information on my ancestors by having the ability to talk to grandparents, great aunts/uncles, distant cousins, as they are still alive and can remember back 2-3 generations before THEM!
