TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO NOMINATE YOUR FAVORITE GENEALOGY BLOG!

Earlier this month Family Tree Magazine has just announced its 40 Best Genealogy Blogs contest with results to be announced in 2011!

You have until November 30, 2010 to nominate your favorites.  During the nomination process you’ll need to select a category for the blog, enter the URL and state why you think it belongs in the FTM 40.

Make sure you read all the rules since there have been some changes since last year. One big change is the need for an About or About Me page (so get busy setting that up now if you don’t have one!) and blogs must be active with at least four posts per month for the past three months.

Family Tree Magazine has worked hard to make certain that the selection process is fair and produces a representative list of the best genealogy blogs.  Click here to nominate your favorite genealogy blogs!

And don’t forget that you can actively campaign for your own blog or your favorites! Look for reminders and updates on Facebook; on Twitter (using hashtag #FT40), in the Family Tree Magazine free, weekly e-mail newsletter, and, of course, on the Genealogy Insider blog. And you can also add the FTM40 badge (shown above) to your blog’s sidebar.
