Keep hanging out on Ancestry's FB page Thomas and you'll realize that there's a lot of people out there working on their genealogy who don't know thing one about basic research. Ancestry's currently holding a "Death Contest" and there were a number of complaints about not being able to find the answer to the first question (the answer was found in Ancestry's free collections and there was a link that led you directly to the free death collections). Here's an example. Unfortunately I did not make this up.

"I have to say I think this contest rather sucks. You say someone can find the answer without a World Deluxe or even a U.S. Deluxe subscription...I've been doing genealogy for over 15 years now and have never had a problem - you can ask my many clients. I'm pretty good at finding people, both alive and dead. It would take quite a bit of time to find this family, using ancestry's "free" databases...As for how many people have "easily" found the right answer -are you so sure they're correct? I wouldn't be so quick to condemn. There's a group of five of us who started working on this since morning, and we didn't find the answer using the "free" databases. There are several answers that could be correct, but when you follow them, we find they were not. We find it hard to believe that the answer can be found in "two" steps...at least, not the right one."

Those who think the sky is falling are going to think that no matter how many of us chime in and say, "umm, no, it's not."
Personally I'm just glad Ancestry wasn't bought by Facebook. If that had happened I might have been Chicken Little ;-)
