Well I’ve finally figured out how to create a blog roll of genealogy and family history related blogs and pull the data from my Google Reader rather than manually add each URL as a link. My challenge was to get the data to appear in a WordPress blog (which is the blogging platform used here at Geneabloggers). I will explain the process in-depth over at Facebook Bootcamp for Geneabloggers later today.
Check out the new feature in the left sidebar. Please note that several of the blogs are managed by people who are not members of Geneabloggers. Right now I am trying to do a “settle up” and determine which blogs are owned by actual GB members, however Facebook does not make it easy to export the member list.
If your blog is not included on the list but should be, please let me know and I will add it as soon as I can.

Great, Thomas! Thanks for creating this central “meeting place” for these many genealogy blogs. I plan to visit often to find new reading material. So many blogs, so little time!

Hi, Thomas. Things here are really ramping up, congratulations on the great idea. I believe my genealogy blog, Granny’s Genealogy should be listed. Thanks.
my blog is showing up twice – the correct one is the one that ends with /genblog. the wordpress one is old. thanx.
