My daughter was 3 months old when I began the search for family. I did everything on paper (this was B I- before internet). I soon realized that I needed to start asking questions of EVERYONE because all were aging. It soon became apparent that not all questions were going to be answered. Some folks had nothing good to say about others (lol). There were obvious secrets. Lies by omission, A few different perspectives. That's when I realized that I had to dig and dig and dig and this wasn't going to be accomplished in a month or two and that I was not going to be the most popular family member. Needless to say nothing has changed. I'm still digging but I've learned patience. And the eye rolls no longer bother me.
