Welcome to Blog Action Day 2009 as seen through the eyes of the many genealogy bloggers! This year’s theme is Climate Change and those who blog about genealogy and family history are being asked to participate by writing about the ways in which climate has affected their family and their ancestors.
It isn’t too late to join in – check out the How To Participate section and then get writing! You’ll be part of a force of over 7,600 blogs worldwide committed to setting aside one day at their site to talk about climate change. Here is the latest news from Blog Action Day with some important tips on how to make sure your blog post is included and some ideas for inspiration:
- We will have a live stream of all posts on the Blog Action Day homepage all day long tomorrow, so make sure to include the words “Blog Action Day” in your posts to have them pulled in. If you are on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #BAD09.
- And if you’re still wondering about what to write, we have a new list of resources to give you ideas and inspiration. We’ve also updated our list of opportunities to take action with our nonprofit partners.
As Robin Beck of Blog Action Day stated in a recent email, “This is it. One day, one issue, thousands of voices.”
